Espace Expression presents the exhibition Constructive Art - Kinetic Art, a surprising panoramic and evolving insight of geometric abstraction in contemporary art. With pieces from more than 60 artists, this exhibition brings together major figures of geometric abstraction and kinetic art, as well as the audacious proposals of young artists in a magnificent selection of constructive art. The exhibition will be open to the public from 1 December, 2014 to 28 February 2015.
This exhibition, presented in collaboration with Denise René Gallery, is a unique opportunity to admire or acquire artworks from Vasarely, LeParc, Morelet, Soto, Arp, Sobrino o Cruz-Diez, among other emblematic pioneer figures of geometric abstraction. It is also a unique occasion to discover innovative proposals developed by artists such as Blanchet - light sculptures, Kujasalo - mathematical structures, Lab [au] - MetaDesign, or Pe Lang - kinetic minimalist.
The spectator interacts with the Physichromie or the Transchromie by Cruz-Diez, the Inclination progressive by Le Parc, the Constellation by Agam or the Méta-Malevich by Tinguely, the Gran amarillo by Soto, among other historical artists of optical and kinetic art. The spectator can also admire the intensity of the modular sculptures by David Bill, the Bleu de surface by Caldas, the Origami in motion by Lab [au], or the complex architecture of the Tramas táctiles by Santiago Torres.
Collectors and art lovers will find in Espace Expression a striking mise-en-scene that emphasizes the plurality of expression, language and trajectory of contemporary art. It is an invitation to a most promising, visual and perceptive adventure.
Espace Expression is located in Wynwood, the heart of Miami’s Art District. It is an exhibition center aimed to disseminate and inform the different speeches of geometric abstraction that have been developed in the XX and XXI centuries. Its rooms are focused on thematic memorable concepts and present a new way of approaching, gathering and informing the collectors, so that their acquisitions have an added value.
